Saturday June 3, 2006

Have you ever wanted to learn how to juggle? Have you thought ' I could never learn how to do that ' . Of course
you can learn how and I can teach you. I've been juggling now for about 5 years and have taught others to do the same. Please join me (Gooble Gobble) at 11:00 a.m. for a fun intro to juggling. We'll be learning the three ball cascade and other patterns you can do with three balls. I'll supply the balls, all you have to do is sign up and be willing to give it a try. If you already know how to juggle please sign up as well, I can teach you many new things. Including the awesome four ball mills mess ( if you've seen my Signature stamp, you'll know what this patterns looks like. My favorite four ball pattern ) and countless other tricks. At the end of the workshop I'll be doing a short demo to show you what is possible with some balls and several hundred hours of practice. One last thing, I only have room for 15 participants! ( if you have your own balls bring them along, I can teach more than 15 at once, I'm just limited by the amount of balls I have ) So please make sure to get to the park nice and early and signup on the big sheet ( you'll see when you get there ). I can't wait to meet you all, take care, see you on June 3!

P.S. If you want to get one of my three personal travelers, start practicing now :)
We will be making the Teenie-Tiny Envelope book.  This is a very quick, easy to make little envelope book that requires no stitching.  The finished size of the book is 3” x 3” and there are 16 pages. This little book is ideal for use in letterboxes that do not see a large amount of traffic or are close enough to home that you can replace the logbook as necessary.

Kits containing all necessary materials for the project will be available for purchase for $2/each.  Class size is limited to available materials.  If you wish to bring your own materials there is no charge for the workshop and you will be guaranteed a seat.  Please see this page for additional details, materials list and picture:

This workshop will cover the basics of carving if you’re new to the hobby and will also include a discussion/demonstration of more in-depth techniques for those that are looking for some additional tips.

You should bring your own carving material if possible (a small amount will be available for purchase at the event).  Also bring your carving tools if you have them (there will be a few available for use at the event if you don’t have tools yet).

As far as designs, you should bring a small design of your own choosing...whether it's a drawing or clipart or a photograph.  Tracing paper will be available for transfers.

If you’d like to do some reading ahead of time, SpringChick has some good info and links on this page:
